Ruth, Barry, and Don - The time you spend leaving feedback is a blessing. And knowing you support, pray for, and encourage what goes on here at the blog is even better.

Have a great weekend.

I am flabbergasted that there are people who claim to be Christians who do not pray. I guess I should have expected this given our current climate. But wow...

True, but very convicting. Their words expose the fickleness of our hearts, don't they? "Prone to wander, Lord I feel it..."

A thoughtful and challenging post!

Just from observing the progression of your blog since I first started following, it seems like prayer has taken on new meaning in your walk with God. Your posts this week evidence this as well; when praying for you and your blog last week, I sensed that God was working with you about something specific; it has been delightful to see the fruit of that.

I believe God has been working with me a lot on this as well during this year. Your caution about forcing ourselves to pray is an apt one; I've been there, but God's work in my life lately has drawn me into prayer more beautifully than any forced discipline could. I often wake with prayer and praise already forming in my mind. I know this has nothing to do with me, and I think of Romans 8:26.
