Hefty list here. Good stuff. Meditating on the Word for me is much like your 7th point, because I feel like I'm worshiping when I'm reading and meditating. It certainly fuels me for praise, but I feel like I'm praising in the very moment I'm meditating. Also, I end up adoring Christ even more and the Gospel is made new to me in a fresh light. The more I know Him the more I love Him & the more I love Him the more I want Him. David said, I have hidden Thy word in my heart so that I will not sin against you. Your recent posts on prayer and this reminder to meditate on Scripture brings two important parts of our lives together. The Scriptures encourage, even command, us to meditate on the Word day and night and to pray continually. By reading God's Word, we can "hear" what He has told us; by praying to Him, we can tell Him our praises, needs, and confessions; thus, God and His child remain in on-going conversation and communion...
